Where We Do It - Gryphons at Play
The Free Company of the Gryphonsguard plays in the Kingdom of the West, part of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Monthly meetings and practices are held in various locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. We believe that we will only get better through practice, practice, and practice, so our practices combine heavy combat drills, sparring, as well as light-heavy fighter drills, unit coordination and weapons training. It is certainly not uncommon during our drills to see lots of laughter and banter as we try to figure things out that will aid us in our fighting. If you need tips, tricks, or just someone to fight with, a Gryphon is always there for you.
We invite honored allies to join us in our practices and to fight with us at wars. We strongly believe in working together as a team, and as such, we defend everyone to the death and will never kill each other in combat.
